The African Festival of The Arts 2011 - Labor Day Weekend Is Approaching...

African Festival of The Arts

September 2nd - 5th Labor Day Weekend

[Chicago] Don't miss what is surely one of the most exciting festivals in the country!  It's four days of cultural enrichment, food and fun!  With vendors from over the world to a food court that will satisfy any palate to art exhibits and live world music performances to enjoying mind-blowing artistry on the Dee Palmer Main Stage, in the past legendary artists like George Duke and George Clinton to this year's India Arie and Mary Mary while also supporting local artists on a variety of stages, this is the event not to be missed!

If you haven't been to The African Festival of The Arts, please go or if you haven't been in awhile, make 2011 your year to return! In a down economy like the one we're experiencing, we all can use a little distraction!  Personally, this is where I stock up on potions and creams, especially, raw shea butter, t-shirts and jewelry. This festival is located on the Chicago's Southside in Washington Park near Hyde Park, the home of our President Obama. It's a family affair, so be sure to come out prepared to have an extraordinarily good time!
